Peter's (and Therese's) Report, Fall 2004
Golden Gate Summer School in Bridgewater, Vermont

Monday Sept. 20, 2004
After the delicious breakfast with toast, butter, honey, jam, yogurt, melon and tea we started with our first English lesson. At that time we met Irmgard. She is from Austria.
After the lesson we went to Woodstock. First we drove to a gas station. Then we went to a supermarket where we bought some food and drinks. On the way back to Bridgewater we found a nice place at a river for a picnic. Later we visited Killington where we were looking for the way to Pico Peak Mountain. It wasn’t easy to find the right way.
At about 5 p.m. we remembered that we had a lot of homework so we decided to go back to Bridgewater.

Tuesday Sept. 21, 2004
After the second English lesson we went to the Old Mill. There are some different shops, the post office and a coffee shop. In this shop I ate a chicken curry pie. It was very good. After that we drove to Quechee Gorge. It’s called "Vermont’s Grand Canyon.". I took some pictures of this canyon.
Then we went back to Woodstock for shopping. Now I’m looking forward to the barbecue this evening but first I have to do some homework.

Wednesday Sept. 22, 2004
After breakfast and the English lesson, I went to the Mill of Bridgewater for lunch. I went to the same shop that I visited yesterday. But today I didn’t order the same, I had a mushroom chicken pie and drinking water. Then I went back to Rose’s.
At about 12:45 p.m. we drove to Woodstock. There we were looking at the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller House. On the tour through the park we had a guide who gave us a lot of information. It was very difficult for me to listen to that guide and I understook only a few words.
