On
January 5, our group (Erika, Maggie, Evi, Karin)
met Rose at 4:00 p.m. at the train station in
Interlaken West. We walked and talked along Höheweg
while we glanced at all those nicely decorated
shop windows. As we still had some free time left
we decided to make a little tour through the
famous Victoria Jungfrau Hotel. We were all
fascinated about all the wonderful and expensive
Christmas decoration which were spread all over
the entrance hall and gangways.
At
5 o'clock the chef confectioner of the Restaurant
Schuh picked us up for their daily chocolate show.
We got an introduction how chocolate is made and
how the finest chocolate specialities are created
from a fluid mass. We could even try for ourselves
how truffles and other chocolate figures are
created. At last we could taste all the different
chocolates and delicious pralines. We couldn't
make up our mind which piece was the best, is it
the Bailey’s truff, the hazelnut praline or is
it even "The Little Schuh" ? They were
all so delicious that we all ate far too much!!
Our
evening ended at the Pizzeria Da Rafmi in
Interlaken. We had a pizza (for most of us half
was enough!) and a good glass of wine while we had
a nice talk in English.
