Heidi gave us a very interesting tour of Thun starting at the Main Station and crossing the Aare, up to the Castle of Thun and back down to the Obere Hauptgasse.  She told us many interesting anecdotes and showed us things we had never noticed before.  We saw a special flag on top of the Hotel Krone in memory of Mr. Hauenstein, a special hat (can you find it (?) and we learned a lot about the Guilds. Very important is also the ‘Fulehung’ for Thun.

After about 1 ½ hours of an interesting and informative guided tour in Thun, we went to the Restaurant Freienhof, the oldest guest house of Thun.

By coffee and croissants sponsored by Rose, we had a lot to talk about (in English and German).  

Our guide Heidi told us a lot about the history of Thun and showed us many things we never noticed before. She showed us also old pictures from a long time ago.  

Although the weather was not so nice we had a wonderful morning.  At about noon we drove home.
